Another interesting one. This one had no "restless middle" - I have no recollection of the awake spikes. Having woken early, it was not early enough to go back to sleep, so this sleep fell short of the critical minimum.

Thursday - Friday 2-3/8/2018

Image
This was an unexpectedly long dense sleep with most of the restlessness compressed into one hour. However REM and Deep Sleep were unusually low. There was the usual cycling between stages, but never staying long outside Light Sleep.

Wednesday - Thursday 1-2/8/2018

Quite a restless night but thankfully due to good hygiene and spending enough time in bed, I still achieved the Critical Minimum.

Tuesday - Wednesday 31/7-1/8/2018

The last 90 minutes of this sleep is MISSING, and the missing part contained an epic dream. This was another unusual sleep in that I took a long time to drift off. I was then wide awake around 0400 and transferred to the Consulting Room. At 0640 I went back to bed until 0800 but this section was not recorded. Never mind, even before the missing final section I had achieved the Critical Minimum of 6 hours.

Monday - Tuesday 30-31/7/2018

An interesting sleep in which all the wakefulness was compressed into a single period. Fortunately I went back to sleep which pushed the total over the critical limit.

Sunday - Monday 29-30/7/2018

A self-inflicted highly disrupted sleep due to Tumblr addiction, but I have no regrets about an enjoyable "me time". My late night didn't stop me having a restless period in the early morning that disrupted sleep still further.

I don't usually sleep well on a Saturday night, but after going to bed late as normal, and unusually no 07:00 wake up required, I had a spectacularly successful healthy sleep - waking as late as 08:10 is unprecedented by my standards! I'm not sure why this was but I'm very grateful for it!

Friday - Saturday 27-28/7/2018

Image
Another unusual sleep in which the REM sleep came before the deep sleep, but importantly I achieved the critical minimum.

Thursday - Friday 26-27/7/2018

This is an interesting one! At around 03:00 I was absolutely wide awake and kept awake by wife's snores/breath and the cat, so I moved to the Consulting Room. I then proceeded to have an epic dream session over 90 minutes long and unbroken! All this added up to a good sleep! Next time I'm wide awake at 3am, I'll know what to do!

Wednesday - Thursday 24-25/7/2018

Image
After two inadequate sleeps, I was in bed for 2100 and had the best sleep for years! Apart from being sleep-deprived, I can't really explain why I slept so well, but I'm not complaining!

Tuesday - Wednesday 24-25/7/2018

Image
Absolutely no excuse for another self-inflicted short sleep. I'm definitely getting into bed at a reasonable hour tonight!

Monday - Tuesday 23-24/7/2018

Image
A very inadequate sleep well short of the critical minimum - I went to bed an hour later and inexplicably awoke early. Usual sleep patterns were reversed, with Deep Sleep too short and turning up much later.

Sunday - Monday 22-23/7/2018

Image
A short sleep self-inflicted by being late to bed. An usually "flat" sleep.

Saturday - Sunday 21-22/7/2018

Image
Late to bed and early to wake! Deep Sleep was oddly late in the sleep. I awoke naturally, prompted by daylight.

Friday - Saturday 20-21/7/2018

Image
An unusual flat, dense sleep.

Thursday - Friday 19-20/7/2018

Image
After a physical day spent on manual tasks, I was expecting to sleep well, and so it proved! Waking periods were unusually low. However my brain then wakes after six hours of actual sleep

Wednesday - Thursday 18-19/7/2018

Image
Unusually in this sleep, the restless part was in the central third, but the sleep overall was reasonable quality and I achieved the critical minimum.

Tuesday - Wednesday 17-18/7/2018

Image
Effectively a repeat of the previous night, although slightly under the critical minimum this time.

Monday - Tuesday 16-17/7/2018

Image
This sleep felt quite restless, but this is only because the waking times were long enough to remember - the sleep actually turned out to be good quality.

Sunday - Monday 15-16/7/2018

Image
A sleep of two starkly contrasting halves. I suspect some of these awake spikes may have actually been REM sleep, but no matter - I got the crucial 6 hours and didn't get up early.
